Only in the Northland. Waiting for the school bus in the winter means enduring sub-zero temperatures, wind, snow and ice. Hence personal school bus shelters. On a bike ride recently, inland from the North Shore, I spotted a number of these structures poised at the end of driveways. I decided they would make an interesting photo essay. So a few weeks later I retraced my route, this time with my camera in tow. What a diverse collection, from purely functional to charming.
