Living out in the country means more space, remoteness, and perhaps some gardening or farming. But apparently it also lends itself to greater creativity when it comes to yard displays. On recent bike rides, I couldn’t resist capturing some of the fun fall yard decorations that I passed along the road. Scarecrows were popular, but so were simple hay and pumpkin designs. My personal favorite is the colorful scarecrow family, whose pumpkin heads are filled with straw. I’ll take these over strings of pumpkin lights any day.
